Overview

Since landscape design role is getting more effectiveness and vital in the labour market of architecture and urban planning professions. Thus, the need to prepare well-qualified fellows who can deal with landscape different sites professionally is essential. Talent academy seized the opportunity to introduce the Landscape Design Course (LDC), in order to provide the labour market with well-qualified and educated fellows who are interested in landscape architecture.

 

Landscape design creates better quality of life for urban space users, also provides more comfortable paths and shades. Designing landscape can increase human comfort and productivity. Also, with landscape design the user can safe time to reach his destination. The main focus of the course is to produce an architect who is capable of designing an excellent design to reach maximum user benefit and achieve sustainability aims in landscape design.

Pre-requisites

Basic knowledge of architecture and landscape is preferable to join this course.

 

 

Objectives

The Landscape Design Course (LDC) is a 1 month program (24 training hours, 8 sessions x 3 hours), the objectives of this course are:

1- Design landscape based on proper data and knowledge

2- Evaluate existing landscape designs based on performance criteria

3- Develop graphic communication skills to represent landscape design at the site scale

4- Apply principles of sustainable landscape design to a project site

5- Recognise landscape in a 3D context by developing landscape elevations and sections

 

Target audience

This course program is designed for the improvement of professionals, architects, and urban planners who are keen to enhance their designing skills and applying tools. By employing landscape design to more talented and professional design analysis. Potential participants include fresh graduates, architecture designers, consultants, contractors, project coordinators, project managers.

Course Details

 

Overview

 

    The course aims at providing principles of creating steel and concrete reinforcement detailing and fabrication drawings for each part of the structure with the background of the principles of structural engineering. Hands-on construction experience and skills, in addition, laying concept and tools to become a better practitioner engineer, you will gain and learn these tools through comprehensive lessons, set of problems, practical activities and course assessments.

 

 

Pre-requisites

 

     A basic working knowledge of AutoCAD is recommended. Knowledge of the concepts of detailing in steel and concrete  reinforcement is beneficial.

 

 

Objectives

 

  The Structural Detailing Diploma is a (48 training hours, 12 session x 4 hours), the objective of this diploma are:

 

   1- Creating Structural detailing drawings with complete details to facilitate construction requirements.

   2- Creating bar bending schedule for reinforcing bars fabrication.

   3- Coordinating all the disciplines and solving contradictions.

   4- Discovering problems in design and suggesting proposals.

   5- Studying the integration of the structure as a whole.

   6- Dealing with international standards/codes.

   7- Producing precise drawings, presentable, readable and easy for communication.

All objectives will be applied on exercises following each session. A Final assessment at the end of the course will be carried out through one of real Talent’s project.

Thus, there is a very hard need to understand and explore the different factors which is affecting cities. Urban Design Elements and Principles Course, is trying to identify the basic elements of the city and also provide the basic principles for urban design. Both the urban design elements and principles will pave the road to initiate opportunities of creation to redesign cities with new perception and ideas.

The Urban Design Elements and Principles Course (UDEPC) is a 5 weeks program (30 training hours, 10 sessions x 3 hours), the objectives of this course are:

1- Learn methods of studying the urban environment by physical observation and analysis.

2- Reading the built environment in its current urban condition.

3- Understanding the history and dynamics of a place, when it was built and for whom

4- Studying the physical and sensory indicators of economic and social change, trends, and problems

5- Develop design thinking skills to understand the physical structure of the city across scales

6- Enhance the ability to communicate urban design ideas graphically and through written form

7- Understand that urban design and planning ambitions are influenced by a wide variety of factors: physical, political, economic, social, and cultural
